Description

We started working on the project when the house was still just a concept on paper, and we helped to integrate the buildings into the forest landscape in an organic way. The clients, a young married couple, dreamed of large multi-level terraces for meeting friends, and planned to add new functions as the family grew. An important condition of the project was the preservation of the natural forest, supplemented with elements of comfort and functionality.

The first centerpiece of the garden is the panoramic summer kitchen. From it, paths lead to other buildings. Nearby, there is a fire-watching area, which is easily accessible from both the house and the kitchen. In front of the house, there is an airy lawn with a decorative vegetable garden. Under the shade of the serviceberry tree, there are neat rows of medicinal herbs.

The second center is a forest with a clearing. It begins at the exit from the home library. A cluster of white balls, a work by a young Russian sculptor, hangs over the clearing like a cloud. This composition resembles a cluster of snowberry. We added real berries to the landscape by planting rowan trees and mountain ash, so that their fruits would attract nearby bullfinches. In the depths of the property, next to the sprawling apple trees, there is a cozy tea area and a platform with a hammock. If you're feeling romantic, there's another fire pit with rugged stools in this part of the forest.

Results of the work

The garden is multifaceted, inspired by a combination of high art and wildlife, and is equally suitable for fun evenings with friends and thoughtful walks on foggy mornings. It is a place where you can step out onto the terrace in your slippers, walk along the forest path, and pause for a moment to breathe in the fresh air and watch a flock of bullfinches.
