Landscaping of a five-star hotel in the city center
Description
The client wanted the hotel grounds to be reminiscent of a Mediterranean resort and to attract visitors all year round. It was necessary to zone the space for guest comfort and to select plants that would retain their decorative appeal even in the harsh winter conditions of the south. The main challenge was the extremely tight deadline for the project.
To create the atmosphere of a Mediterranean resort, the European olive has been chosen as the focal point. Its silvery foliage adds a touch of elegance and freshness to the green landscape. To complement the olive, white-flowered and silver-leaved plants have been selected. The white flowers of the oleander and the gaura, the umbrellas of the agapanthus, and the carpets of thyme create a sense of freshness and purity.
As part of the project, the operated roof of the spa complex was landscaped. The use of special sustainable species allowed for the creation of multi-level landscape compositions that included trees and shrubs, creating comfortable areas for relaxation.
On the beach, the hotel's spaces faced the challenge of being "open." We addressed this issue by using tall planting material that is resistant to wind and salty air. The green backdrops visually isolated the waterfront areas, including the pools, jacuzzis, and sun loungers. The living backdrops that divided the space were also used in the rooftop restaurant. In this area, the green decor was designed to be as diverse as possible.
We also included edible plants in the plant compositions in the planters, such as herbs that enhance the appetite with their aroma and emphasize the freshness of the dishes. We developed the planning solutions in collaboration with the architectural bureau Horomystudio. The project was implemented in cooperation with the partner TESSERA.ART
The result of the work
As a result of this collaboration, a green “island” has appeared in the heart of a bustling city, offering a peaceful and beautiful retreat.
