Calm Water, Forest, and a House by the Shore. When you sit on the edge of the terrace, your gaze is inevitably drawn into the distance—to where the water's surface merges with the horizon, where the river flows unhurriedly, shimmering in the sunlight. Here, time seems to stand still, yielding only to the drift of clouds and the rustle of pine crowns. The main value of this plot is its unique location: the house stands on a hill, offering endless vistas of the Volga River. The clients are people with a measured, mindful rhythm of life, for whom it is essential to create spaces for quiet repose.

Our task was challenging yet deeply inspiring. The steep, forested slope demanded minimal intervention: we were determined not to block the views, preserved as many mature trees as possible. Our goal was to set visual accents, accentuate the natural panoramas, and create comfortable pathways that lead gently down to the water.

Recreation Areas: From the House to the Pier. We conceived the space as a multi-layered narrative, where each zone carries its own distinct mood. The upper, formal part serves as a restrained extension of the house's facade. Here we placed a spacious terrace with a dining area, which became the heart of social life. The views from this spot are spectacular, and we intentionally designed the kitchen island so that the cook stands facing both the guests and the water—making meal preparation itself a joyful part of the shared experience.

Slightly lower down the slope, separated by a change in elevation, lies the fire-pit area. We made it intimate and characterful, yet visually connected to the upper terrace, so that the company can effortlessly migrate from the dinner table to the flames. A key design element is the wide steps that double as extra seating. From these, as well as from the comfortable armchairs and bench, the most stunning views unfold. At the lowest point, we created a small deck by the water's edge—a pier-like platform where one can simply sit and listen to the lapping waves.

For our clients' beloved pet, we have equipped an enclosure in a spacious clearing at the edge of the forest, where the cat will feel completely safe and at ease.

We reinforced the shoreline, giving it a neat and well-groomed appearance while striving to preserve its natural beauty as much as possible. To ensure a comfortable stay by the water, we laid a convenient path along the bank and complemented the landscape with moisture-loving plants. The bathhouse, located in the lower part of the property, deserves a special mention. Featuring a cold-water plunge pool, it becomes the ideal spot for complete rejuvenation and true relaxation after an active day. Furthermore, given the river's high water level, we installed a practical pallet deck.

This space is all about tranquility, unhurriedness, and the art of pausing. Here, it is just the forest, the water, and the sky a place where you can breathe deeply and fully savor life in the great outdoors.
